Serve cold. Batida is a Brazilian cocktail, and is one of several Brazilian cocktails that are made with the national alcoholic drink cachaça. In Portuguese batida means shaken or milkshake, and the word also means a crash, usually used when referring to a car crash. This beverage is made with cachaça, fruit juice (or coconut milk), and sugar. It is blended or shaken with ice. The most common fruits used in a batida are lemons, passion fruits and coconuts. A variation is made by adding sweet condensed milk or sour cream. The drink can be made with vodka instead of cachaça (which has limited availability outside of Brazil). The batida has not spread from Brazil to the same extent as other drinks like the caipirinha. [1] Traditional recipe [ edit] 1 part of fruit juice (or coconut milk) 1 table spoon of sugar 2 parts of cachaça Place all the components in a blender and blend very briefly, just to mix all the components.

Nissan's next-generation Leaf was expected to have a battery pack option to push the range over 200 miles in order to compete with Tesla's Model 3 and GM's Chevy Bolt EV, but it ended up with a 40 kWh battery pack enabling 150 miles of range. The Japanese automaker did say that a longer range version would come by the end of the year, but now a report claims that it will offer much more than just more range. Push EVs claims it obtains slides, apparently from Nissan, disclosing information about the upcoming Nissan Leaf 2019, which should be released by the end of the year. Based on the report, the new version of the vehicle would feature a 60 kWh battery pack as expected, but also a new 160 kW electric motor and 11 to 22 kW onboard charger. The new battery pack would also be widely different from Nissan's previous battery pack technology. First off, they are reportedly changing battery cells from AESC, Nissan's own battery company which they sold this summer, to LG Chem. The new battery pack is also reportedly equipped with a thermal management system, which would be a big step up for Nissan.
